My wife is not a fan of Indian food but loves Chinese food so this is a perfect fit. If you go on a weekday you can order off of Ming's menu too(both restaurants are connected). They won't let you do it on weekends though...unless you tell them you have a food allergy:-)
Anyway...the Indian food is some of the best I have ever had. I went with the Chicken Tikka Masala with a side of rice and an order of onion naan. The portion was huge and everything was bursting with flavor. It was really spicy though and I was almost breaking out a sweat but it was so good I didn't mind.
The service was exceptional and the atmosphere was very NYC trendy which I really liked.
My wife's meal from Ming was just average and they actually brought her the wrong meal which she ate anyway. She said it wasn't bad but was nothing special and expensive for what it was. The good news is they took that entree off the bill.

We feel we were nickeled and dimed. $6 for a side of rice (rice is not included). $3 for papadum, this is complimentary at most Indian restaurants. $3 for an ice filled ginger ale with no refill. All of our dished were fresh and enjoyable. However they have no concept of "spicy".

They have a nice Yelp check in promotion. Free dessert!! That was actually quite good.

Mehndi is located in a hotel but it's quite confusing to locate it.
You walk into a circular entryway that has a hostess booth and 3 doors. It's almost as if you are in a labyrinth.
Once you seated it has some nice decor and is dimly lit. They have a full bar and I tried their Spicy Chili Margarita which was very good. At first it had a kick but after a few more sips I became numb. So good I had 2.
We started with veg samosa's. They were ok.
For entree's we split 2 naans (plain and garlic), Murgh Tikka Masala (chicken was a little overcooked and some fatty pieces), Murgh Zafrani (which we had similar issues).
Since we checked in on Yelp we had a free dessert: Rasmalai which is an Indian cottage cheese. We had 1 fork full each and both agreed it wasn't very good.
Their prices are a bit on the higher side, especially if you add alcoholic drinks onto the bill.
Service was alright.
Questionable if we would go back. There are some better spots in the area.
I'm kind of the Duke there. I work in the building and my colleague and I like going there for their lunch buffet. It comes down to $16.25 a person, and the food is pretty good. There have a lot of staples items - Which is another way to say that they kind of always have the same things - but it's always good.
The restaurant is in a great location but parking can be a hassle. You can find street parking if you're lucky. I'm not sure if they validate if you park in a deck.
The service is only okay, but the food, drinks and atmosphere really make it better. The price of the dishes are good considering that it's in downtown Morristown but only a little bit more expensive if you were to compare to outside of Morristown.
Ok so it's obvious I'm really into Indian food right now. Lunch buffets are my favorite and now this place takes the lead. They have the largest selection of dishes at the buffet and the restaurant is gorgeous. It's also not overpriced. It's only $1 more than I am used to paying and that nothing for the added goodies.
Crowd mostly consist of business people due to the location. This would be a great place to take a client out to lunch or meet with colleagues.
